Alek Hedlund is an associate attorney at Meisner Santiago, PLLC. Mr. Hedlund grew up in the West Michigan area before moving to Virginia to pursue his higher education at Liberty University. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Law Studies at Liberty University in 2022, graduating summa cum laude. While attending Liberty, Mr. Hedlund was a member of the university's undergraduate moot court team. He and his partner finished as runners-up in their AMCA regional competition in 2021, qualifying for the AMCA National Tournament, where they advanced to the round of thirty-two.

Mr. Hedlund earned his Juris Doctor from Liberty University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. While in law school, he was named to the Dean's List and received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Taxation of Estates and Gifts, Employment Law, and Advanced Research and Writing. Additionally, Mr. Hedlund served as a staff member for Volume 19 and as Articles and Book Reviews Editor for Volume 20 of the Liberty University Law Review, where he oversaw the editorial process for an issue published in the spring of 2026.

Outside of work, Mr. Hedlund enjoys spending time with his wife and their cat. He is a passionate Detroit sports fan, attending numerous Detroit Tigers baseball games over the years. He also enjoys traveling, seeing new places, and trying out local coffee shops.
