Angelica Santiago is a founding partner of Meisner Santiago, where she focuses her practice on defending businesses, insurers, and individuals in civil litigation throughout Tennessee. Her practice includes premises liability, wrongful death, automobile and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, employment disputes, negligent security, and other complex liability matters.

Angelica is a practical and strategic litigator who believes good advocacy starts with understanding the bigger picture. She works closely with clients from the earliest stages of a claim through discovery, mediation, dispositive motions, and trial, with an emphasis on being prepared, giving candid advice, and finding the strategy that makes the most sense for the client and the case.

Angelica’s path to becoming a lawyer started well before law school. She began her legal career as a paralegal at an insurance defense firm, an experience that gave her an early appreciation for the work that happens behind the scenes to build and defend a case. She later earned her J.D. from Belmont University College of Law, where she served as a research assistant to former United States Attorney General and then-Dean Alberto R. Gonzales and as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee.

Originally from Amherst, Massachusetts, Angelica earned her undergraduate degree in Public Health and Legal Studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst before making Tennessee home.

Outside the office, Angelica loves spending time with family and friends, traveling somewhere new, and finding a great restaurant along the way. She is an active part of the Zeal Church community in Nashville and is known to get a little too invested in a good puzzle or board game.
